Recyclart launches a new cycle of parties around the new wave of tropical electro, the fusion of world music and western club music.

The wild beats of a type of Angolian music called Kuduro (check out our previous article about kuduro, a kind of tribal techno with raps and scats, besieged Lisbon in the early nineties.

Buraka Som Sistema

Lil' John and Riot met Angolian Kuduro producer Conductor in the metropolis that still links Portugal to its ex-colonies.
Together they formed Buraka Som Sistema.

They innovated and enriched the sound of Kuduro to a contemporary, powerful kind of Electro with influences ranging from techno to drum 'n' bass and hiphop. A highly danceable and explosive collaboration between North and South was born.

These days the whole world is going mad on their percusive rhythms and melodies, driving basses and exciting guest appearences by a.o. M.I.A, dj Znobia and Puto Prata. After their first e.p. 'From Buraka to the world'(2006), they released the full album 'Black Diamond' last year , the single 'Sound of Kuduro' in which M.I.A. appears gets airplay on lots of different radio stations.

In Recyclart, they will appear in full force: live percussions, dancers ... Sound of Kuduro knocking at your door.

Radioclit will make the temperature rise even more.

This ultrahip dj & producer duo from London plays a kind of Electro Tropical that makes everybody run crazy.

They remixed a.o. M.I.A., Santogold, Bonde do Role, Yo Majesty, dj Mujava, Vampire Weekend, Brodinsky,...

They also organise the monthly club night 'Secousse' in London with guest dj's and live sets. The result: a peaceful but highly energetic 'clash of civilisations' on the dancefloor.

RQM is a dj & producer, born in Poland and raised in New York before moving to Berlin to form the Crunk Hop duo Al Haca. He also collaborates with Viennese Stereotype and mc'ed for over more than thirty records.

Booty tech, abstract hip hop and electrofunk all mingle effortlessly in a nice and fluent flow. His solo work is released through Berlin based Exploited records (Adam Sky, Malente, Shir Kahn...) and the beats
are provided by Spanish producer/dj Josh Fontan.

A perfect opener for this Hybrid and cosmopolitan night.
