He opened the whole night with his typical introductions, he's a pure emcee, raw and brings with him the "guerilla funk"; the type of guy you could hear next to someone like Chuck D from Public Enemy screaming "fiiiiight the power". His show was hard and engaged but maybe a bit too long for the people who came to see Tha Alkaholiks.

Tash, J-Ro and E-Swift came with the energy. Like 3 guys 1 Redbull, jumping and rhyming on their all-time classics, taking the crowd to another level, the next level. On the balcony, people were jumping and I was a bit scared for them (it's really easy to fall down there), the nice thing with The Liks is that there's the interaction with the crowd, that's what we need, union, family, you know, feeling like home. People were not waiting for the classics, they just jumped on every track the dj (E-Swift) dropped. Daaaam!! (check the Daaam Video)

Probably the best group of the night, no doubt. They sounded just like on the record and they put people in a certain trance, going wild, using red lights in the room made it even hotter (like there was a big sun behind the stage) when the bangers came "Chief Rocka" and "Here Come The Lords", crazy! 1200 fans, going from left to right like it was AC/DC on stage.

It's midnight and people start to get tired of 2 hours of banging hiphop tunes, but then came the 'Nuts. I don't know a lot of groups that have so many classics in their repertoire, when they come on stage it's classic. "No Escapin' This", that's right, a hit that made everybody dance around the globe and many others that definitely made the crowd move. It was a great show, but definitely not as good as 2 years ago at the Dour Festival.

Last hero of the night, Jeru opened smoothly his show by talking to the crowd, give thanks and explains his 2 rules to make a show go right. Since he quit smoking I think he's even better now, his shows are not that sleepy anymore and he's really into it. When the deejay drops "D.Original" the crowd goes loose and Jeru rewinds haha. Of course all the beats were produced by DJ Premier and you know how they sound; Every classic passed by "Bitches", "Dirty Rotten Scoundrel" and when "Come Clean" drops it's boiling point. The perfect tune to end a 90's classic night like that!!!
What touched me was to see so many people coming down; not only from the Flanders but also a lotta fans from Brussels' area and the french speaking part and even France. The show ended around 2am, not bad at all for a Tuesday.
Some artists want to describe hiphop as a dead genre but I think that hiphop can't die until you kill it.
Check all the pictures from Caroline and this video that Lefto recorded during the night.
