Tomorrow our dubstep buddies from After12 (Mate&Fudge) are organising a party at Minnemeers (Ghent).
After 12 is a radio show on UrgentFm that specialises in bringing dubstep, grime, garage, jungle, drum and bass and rave music.
Since november 2008 the After12 crew is organising parties, and tomorrow they choose to have Martyn and Luke Envoy as international guests.
Martyn, born in Holland but moved to DC (USA), is known as a drum and bass dj, but in the recent years has been taking up dubstep in his dj-selection and producing.
He's probably most known for his release 'Broken' (out on: Revolve:r) and the remix he did for TRG's broken heart, one of the more melodic songs in dubstep.
A lot of his songs have a real deephouse feeling to them, like the Another Wedged Chicken remix on his myspace. One of his recent releases is the FlyLo-Roberta Flack remix on Warp.
Luke Envoy on the other hand, takes on the harder sound of dubstep, with a lot of grime, jungle and drum and bass influences, like his Honour Kill.
For the Belgian representation on the line up, there is Manouvre from Brugges and of course Mate & Fudge.
Go there or be square, cause we think this has to be checked out live! C u there tomorrow.
Listen to the last Cal and Sike BaseLab show, where u ll hear some tunes from the man Martyn
